Intelligent Shooter Guidance

My name is Allan Sand. I am a BCA & ACS Instructor with more than 45 years of shooting, coaching, and mentoring experiences. I have authored several important and valuable books on pool knowledge.

My basic goal in teaching the Green Game is to improve your ability to think first. By using your knowledge and experience to analyze the table and the playing circumstances, you can become the Intelligent Shooter. 

Towards that goal, I provide the following learning opportunities:

• General education classes
• One-on-one counseling / advice
• Focus on specific skill development
• Fundamentals evaluation
• Offensive & defensive skill development
• Strategic & tactical training

Special Courses

The following courses are available for individuals and small groups:

• Basic tactical training (2 hours) - Learn how to take control of the table with intelligent shot choices.

• Introduction to safety play (3 hours) - learn how to use defensive tactics as offensive tools to win.
• Fundamentals review - what's good, what's not (2 hours) - You and I look through at all of your basics. This includes body alignment, stroke straightness, speed control, etc. Included is a basic evaluation of your understanding of the underlying physics of ball control.
• Cut-throat 8 ball (2 hours) - Learn the attitude and tactical skills that will win more 8 ball games.
• Cut-throat 9 ball (2 hours) - Learn the attitude and tactical skills that will win more 9 ball games.
• Cue ball control (2 hours) - Learn shots that are trustworthy - kicks, banks, spin, speed.

I also have a special needs-based one-on-one course designed specifically to improve and fix individual skills that you consider the most critical. The specific topics to be covered depend on what you consider important.
