CB location (M3), Target Diamond (A1 long)
Practice this TML pattern on your table until each one becomes a known and trustworthy shot.
The running English makes a nice round trip around the center of the table. The ball will continue towards the far pocket and can connect with any big ball there.
The line into the first rail does not "grab" enough to put running English on the ball. This allows the ball to come back up-table near the center of the head rail. The ball travels back down table and can cover a big ball in the corner.
Most of the reverse spin stays on the ball at the 2nd rail. This keeps the ball traveling along the long rail row of diamonds. The table takes off any remaining spin by the 4th rail, which allows the ball to go down-table to the short rail center diamond.
Other Sized Tables
For 8 foot tables, the same type of pattern requires about 1-1/4 tips out from center to get the paths shown. For 7 foot tables, 1-1/2 tip out from center is necessary to follow the pattern. The distances on small tables are less, so when the cue ball travels around in a trapezoid pattern, the rail contacts are more distorted.
