Practice this TML pattern on your table until each one becomes a known and trustworthy shot.
10:30 Analysis
The reverse spin takes full effect on the 2nd rail. It brings the ball back on a parallel line. The pattern is good to reach a big ball in the corner.
12:00 Analysis
This follows the routine "round-the-world" pattern to reach the corner pocket. The ball picks up running English as it contact the rails.
1:30 Analysis
The patterns pretty much stays the same for this and the 12:00 shot. You might call this a "fail-safe" shot, since it works for both spins.
Other Sized Tables
For 8 foot tables, the same type of pattern requires about 1-1/4 tips out from center to get the paths shown. For 7 foot tables, 1-1/2 tip out from center is necessary to follow the pattern. The distances on small tables are less, so when the cue ball travels around in a trapezoid pattern, the rail contacts are more distorted.
