Practice this TML pattern on your table until each one becomes a known and trustworthy shot.
10:30 Analysis
The pattern is a good trapezoid that covers a lot of table area. The ball has running English on all rails. It does reach the corner pocket with energy to make a hit on a big ball.
12:00 Analysis
The 1st rail puts a slight amount of running English on the ball - just enough to send it into the corner pocket (or a jawed ball). An unexpected kicking solution that will frustrate your opponent.
1:30 Analysis
Another cool reverse spin. This pattern covers a full half of the table. Practice a couple times to dial in this shot so you can surprise your opponent.
Other Sized Tables
For 8 foot tables, the same type of pattern requires about 1-1/4 tips out from center to get the paths shown. For 7 foot tables, 1-1/2 tip out from center is necessary to follow the pattern. The distances on small tables are less, so when the cue ball travels around in a trapezoid pattern, the rail contacts are more distorted.
