Here are examples on how to use “Confusion” for 8 Ball and 9 Ball.

8 Ball confusion, example 1

This shoves his ball into a cluster he must break up on the next shot. (Avoid the hidden ball safety. You want him to have a clear shot.)

This is a clever little shot on several levels.

This needs a soft stroke. Let your opponent figure out how to handle this problem.

This creates a cluster that forces your opponent to devote some thought to figuring out what to do.
