Where possible, do not play long matches that take hours to complete. This extended effort will use up energy reserves. When exhausted, your ability to make effective choices diminishes.
In a multiple day tournament, ensure you allow enough time for proper rest and well-balanced, leisurely meals. Other than necessary time to keep your skills tuned, use every opportunity to relax while you observe and learn about other players.
