(BSC) Billiard Skills Challenge – Instructions

(About the Author)

Billiards Skills Competition Training Program

The book contains hundreds of shots, organized into Test Groups that check every area of your shooting and playing skills.

Each Test Group has four benefits:

  • Skills Measurement – what you can do now.
  • Self Knowledge – what you need to improve
  • Training Program – develop a personalized process
  • Buddy Challenges – competition with friends

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. For the Test Group table layouts, print out or display on your smart device.
  2. Use donuts to mark positions for all balls in the test group. (Donuts are paper reinforcement rings – get at any office supply.)
  3. Shoot a set (3 or 5 each) and write down the scores.

Scoring

Version 1 (3 shots per inning)
1 success in three = 1 point
2 successes in three = 2 points
3 successes in three = 5 points

Version 2 (5 shots per inning)
1 success in five = 1 point
2 successes in five = 2 points
3 successes in five = 4 points
4 successes in five = 6 points
5 successes in five = 10 points.

Challenge Your Buddies

After you test yourself, challenge a few buddies with some side bets – payout for high score, or race to 25 points. You can also handicap (i.e., race to 50:  beginner – 20 points, intermediate – 10, good – 0.)

Like the game “Equal Offense”, you can challenge players in other places (cities, states, countries). A referee can track scoring.
