This progressive exercise to improve your playing skills is in the book Drills & Exercises for Pool & Pocket Billiards.

This is a multiple cue ball speed and spin drill. See Cue Ball Speed and Spin Variations. Make sure to observe the cue ball action (path from OB, any rail action, etc.) until it stops. You need to remember the results when you are in competition.

Purpose: Runout the set of balls with controlled CB speed/spin.

Drills & Exercises – (V) Runouts, Set 2 of 4

Instructions:
1. Use donuts to setup the OB positions on the table.
2. Start with Ball-in-Hand.
3. With one inning, pocket all balls in any pocket
4. Set up and repeat.

Suggestions:
– Start with fewer balls

– Run balls in sequence.
– Pocket balls alternating side to side.
– From end to end
– From inside to outside.
